It has minimal surface area to reduce sticking of the bar with wide angled channels that allow the water to quickly drain. This design allows your soap to dry quickly and keeps it from getting mushy. The base is elevated which keeps water from gathering under and around the dish.

Using soap dishes in pairs can significantly prolong their lifespan. Use one dish for 2-3 weeks, wipe it clean and allow it to dry while using the second dish. This rotation prevents mold, mildew and soap build up, extending the life of both your soap and soap dish.
